Shannon Schlicher | Owner

Shannon Schlicher, APRN, FNP-C is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in family medicine with an emphasis on obesity management. She received her Graduate Degree from University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her Bachelor Degree from Queens University of Charlotte. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Metrolina Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and certified in obesity medicine by the AANP. With a background in adult critical care, Shannon spent years treating chronic illnesses such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and type two diabetes. Knowing the majority of comorbidities can be reversed, even eradicated through healthy weight, Shannon found her passion in obesity medicine. Now she has the pleasure of helping hundreds of satisfied clients reach their weight-loss goals, knowing they are adding years to their lives. Why continue to chase high blood pressure, cholesterol, and sugar levels with medication, when we can help put an end to America’s obesity epidemic?

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys spending time with her two children Hayden and Kynlee, her sheepadoodle Myla (LKN’s office mascot). traveling abroad, and adventures in her Jeep Wrangler.

Our medical team understands that the weight loss journey is more than just a smaller number on the scale. the weight loss journey means overcoming the mental, emotional and physical barriers everyone faces when we push ourselves out of our comfort zone. This is why Lake Norman Weight Loss & Wellness have a support staff of weight loss experts that are there to guide our patients through the tough times and have a great Facebook Support Group to provide motivation and positivity on the tough days.

Michelle Caamano | Cosmetic Specialist

Michelle Caamano is a Registered Nurse who specializes in cosmetic injectables. Her career began in the late 90’s working in the operating room for an open heart team. Several years later she transitioned into private practice and specialized in Plastic Surgery. While staying the course with cosmetics, she also filled in PRN at the hospital in Neuro ICU and Trauma ER to sharpen her nursing skills.

Michelle has spent over 20 years customizing injectables and other cosmetic services to achieve both natural and beautiful results. She works to build a deeper connection with people to understand who they are…allowing her to develop a treatment plan that accommodates their goals, lifestyle and budget. Her career feeds her artistic side and is inspired by patients who place their trust in her and have courage to make a change.

Outside the office is dedicated to family and furry children. Michelle’s passion for travel allows her to indulge in culinary delights and cultural history from all over the world.

Laetitia Cloete | Medical Esthetician

Laetitia immigrated from South Africa in July 2000 with her husband and 4 children.

She initially obtained a degree in Food and Clothing Technology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1992. But from a young age, Laetitia had always been interested in Aesthetics, often performing facials on friends at home.

She decided to make her love for Aesthetics a career by returning to school, and through continued education and experience, Laetitia has become a master aesthetician.

Laetitia has been using her expertise to take care of her patients’ needs for over a decade. She specializes in facials, dermaplaning, medical grade chemical peels, hydrafacials, waxing treatments, brow treatments, and powder brows.

Laetitia’s enthusiasm for Aesthetics and relentless drive to expand her skillset—as well as her kind, caring, and accommodating nature—are what make her patients feel at ease and confident during their treatments. Her motivation to get the best results for her patients is what drives her passion.

“I enjoy having an ongoing relationship with my patients and helping them empower themselves to treat their skin properly outside of our treatments.

I am always learning and researching to be able to provide my patients with the best recommendations.

I believe in quality over quantity so I can truly be present with my patients and focus solely on their individual needs.”

Outside of the office, Laetitia loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys the arts, traveling, writing poetry, and dancing.
